For my spirit animal project I chose to draw a crab. I used a variety of colors in oil pastels, and completed the project with a jelly roll pen to draw the sand. This was when I had toned the background with coffee and colored the crab.

Below is my still life photo shoot. I took a lot of pictures for it, and after remodeling it many MANY times, I finally took this one.

Below is my base painting for my still life project. I messed up and accidentally used my water color paints instead of my acrylic. I think the painting would’ve been easier if I used the right paint in the beginning, but oh well. It was fine.

For the oil pastel project I practiced my facial features and color usage with this eye. I tried out the scratching technique, but I didn’t really like it that much, so I only used it for hair strands in my actual project.

I started my project with a base of water color in warm colors. I sketched out my best friends picture using a grid. At this point I had done the hair and sweater using oranges and brown oil pastels.

TThis was one of my images for the photo soot at the begeniing of he year.

Practice skull.

Still need to draw two other skulls. I named it THe Missing Head of Captain John. I know that's super weird, it was my first time naming a piece. But burning the edges was really hard. I about burned down the whole house when I burnt the two in the middle. Oops
